Emilya Naymark is an author whose work has appeared in numerous magazines and publications, including Secrets in the Water, River River Journal, and Snowbound: Best New England Crime Stories 2017. Being married to an NYPD undercover detective compelled her to create the character of Laney Bird, whose experiences are inspired by real events.
