About this audiobook

When Jim Qwilleran's friend Polly decides to spend two weeks on vacation with an old girlfriend in Oregon, he finds himself at a loose end—but not for long. A visit from Nick Bamba brings news of a hotbed of mystery. Nick and his wife fear that their new venture, the Domino Inn, won't see out one summer season, let alone a lifetime. A series of fatal accidents on the recently developed Breakfast Island is beginning to deter further visitors, forcing Jim and his cats, Koko and Yum Yum, to scramble for clues.

I believe that this is my favorite book in “The Cat Who” audiobook series that’s available on Scribd. It’s 6/2023 and I just heard this. I don’t know how many there are in total anywhere.
There seems to be more interesting, logical action in this book than in some of the others. Occasionally I have trouble following her storylines because I’m lazy about keeping track of the character names. Then I get very confused and frustrated. (My bad.) Especially when the series is listed as being at a fifth-grade reading level, and I have many more years of education beyond that.
So I appreciated the fact that this story began by introducing us to only a few characters, and then it built the story upon them more slowly than she did in other books. Thanks, Ms. Braun!
Lots of cat comments in this book from Coco, too. ?‍⬛
