About this audiobook
American Christianity teaches the centrality of the individual: my will, my experiences, my decision, my heart, my work, and my dedication. Yet we couldn't be more unaware that Christ and His saving and comforting work are being lost. Our minds and hearts are captivated in some way by those who often preach the Christian instead of Christ.
Author Bryan Wolfmueller sounds the alarm against the false teaching and dangerous practices of Christianity in America. He offers a beautiful alternative: the sweet savor of the Gospel, which brings us to the real comfort, joy, peace, freedom, and sure hope of Christ.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is the clearest explanation of our Christian faith today. Pastor Wolfmueller has such a kind conversational tone that is welcoming and concise. This book has changed my life and the trajectory of our family. As a Christian in church all my life, I miserably lived in good works. Constantly anxious and insecure, Pastor Wolfmueller showed me that I am truly forgiven! For the first time, I now see Jesus and His sacrifice was for me to be free! This book is a must read for everyone! Our teenage son is loving it as well.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful, concise, excellent, informative.
The best I have listened to concerning doctrine, Lutheranism and American Christianity. I come from an evangelical background so I can genuinely relate to the author’s words concerning American Christianity. This book has answered many questions I have had over the years. This such a wonderful, beautiful, Godly book! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A concise explanation of the doctrinal issues practiced by American Christianity today, and it’s juxtaposition to conservative Lutheranism.
