- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Title: Kingdom Come (MacCallister: The Eagles Legacy #5)Author: William W. Johnstone with J. A. JohnstonePages: 336Year: 2015Publisher: PinnacleMy rating: 5 out of 5 stars. The newspapers in the story dub a gang of murdering outlaws the Kingdom Come Gang. Jaco is the man running the ruthless band of outlaws, and his partner is just as low. Enter Duff MacCallister and his friends. No matter which way Johnny turns or plans, thinking he will get his brother out of jail, there seems to be Duff!Wang is a new player in the MacCallister series. He brings a different perspective and his actions are very noble. Elmer knows Wang. He knows the customs and some of the language but wait until you read where Elmer learned all he knows! Then there is Hanson who is buying Angus cattle from Duff for his Regency Ranch. Hanson comes from England with backers to start his ranch and becomes good friends with Duff. Two men of Johnny’s gang see firsthand how Johnny runs things and how he kills without blinking an eye. They help bring valuable information to those seeking to bring the outlaw gang to justice. The thing is these men ran into Duff and Hanson before, so will their information be believed? But those who seek to bring Johnny and his men to face a judge need the information in order to save the two little boys the gang took back to the outlaw town they inhabit. There is more to the plot than I am revealing, but if you get the chance, grab a copy and then be prepared for wild action and adventure. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series they are: MacCallister: The Eagles Legacy, The Killing, Dry Gulch Ambush and Kill Crazy. Enjoy one or all. Either way Duff brings hours of western fun to readers everywhere!Note: The opinions shared in this review are solely my responsibility.
