Something’s not right

Lying on the bed I took a deep breath, and as I felt a blob of cold jelly on my tummy I gasped.

‘I’d forgotten what that feels like,’ I giggled.

After finding out I was pregnant, my partner Paul, 33, and I were at our seven-week scan, and I was so excited to see our little one on the screen back in February 2016.

I had two older boys – Jae, then 13, and Kaeden, then six – and it had been a while since I’d done the baby stage.

But I couldn’t wait to do it all again with Paul.

We’d been together since 2012 after meeting in the gym and we always knew we wanted a child of our own.

I’d been diagnosed with endometriosis in 2002, so I knew falling pregnant might be difficult for me.

But when we got a positive pregnancy test result, we were both thrilled.
