Nothing quite prepares you for the moment you hear your baby’s heartbeat for the first time.
But on that day in November 2018, when that gentle thumping noise on the monitor suddenly doubled, my own heart skipped a beat.
‘Congratulations, you’re having twins,’ the sonographer smiled.
