SERVES 6 AS A STARTER OR A SNACK
FOR THE PRAWN MARINADE
• 125ml (½ cup) buttermilk
• grated zest of 1 lime
• 1 garlic clove, chopped finely
• 4cm-piece ginger root, peeled and grated finely
• 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
FOR COOKING THE PRAWNS
• 125ml (½ cup) unflavoured whey protein
• 5ml (1 tsp) salt
• 125ml (½ cup) coconut oil, for frying
