You only have to look at Kate Hudson to see that this gal knows her way around a workout! But there’s so much more to the 43-year-old’s wellness routine than her famous sweat sessions. “As much as it’s about how we are actively supporting it through health and nutrition and an active lifestyle, it’s also about how we are looking at our life mentally, and how we’re able to manage stress and complicated times,” Hudson tells Bustle. “Sometimes wellness is going out with your friends. Connection plays a huge part in how we feel. And when we’re feeling happier, our immune system is stronger.”
Of course, fitness does. But the main takeaway? She listens to what her body wants in each moment and honours that – including when she doesn’t want to work out at all. “It’s actually more motivating when you can say, ‘Today, I don’t feel good and I’m going to be OK not having the best day because I can honour that.’”
