FOR THE BISCUITS

125g (4½oz) butter
125g (4½oz) caster sugar
1 free-range egg
250g (9oz) plain flour, plus extra for dusting
1 tsp vanilla extract

TO DECORATE

sugarpaste: navy blue, yellow, orange, white, pastel, emerald green (I used Renshaw)
edible glitter: red, white (I used Rainbow Dust)
royal icing sugar, watered down
