• 200g (7oz) caster sugar
• 1 large free-range egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 410g (14½oz) plain flour, plus extra for dusting

• Renshaw sugarpaste (orange, black, purple, pink)
• lustre colours (light & dark green, dark brown, white, pink)
• royal icing sugar – watery consistency
