Coronary heart disease is the biggest killer of women worldwide – resulting in twice as many deaths as breast cancer. According to the British Heart Foundation (BFH), 35,000 women are admitted to hospital every year due to a heart attack. Despite this, it’s still considered a ‘man’s disease’. Female heart health isn’t getting the acknowledgement it deserves and, as a result, women are dying. Are more women suffering from poor heart health than we thought?
