Fibre’s optics

Question:

My doctor told me to increase my fibre intake, among other things, to improve my health. I have oat bran Weet-Bix for breakfast with fruit and yogurt, and eat wholegrain bread and quite a bit of fruit. How else can I increase the fibre in my diet?

Answer:

Upping your fibre intake is certainly good advice. If everyone ate more of it, we could reduce by 15-30% both the number based on work by researchers at the University of Otago.
