Freezing fruit & vegetables

1 ONIONS

Chop or slice and freeze on baking trays using the ‘open freeze’ method (see dos and don’ts, right). Once solid, portion out in freezer bags. You can also fry onions to freeze in batches.

Cut into florets and cook until al dente. Leave to cool, then spread over a baking tray and freeze. Once frozen solid, tip into a freezer bag.
