Tye Watkins Series

The cavalry escorting the pay wagon coming to Fort Clark was overdue. Tye Watkins, Chief of Scouts at the fort, was dispatched to find them. 'An easy assignment,' he figured. Fort Clark was regarrisoned in 1866 and the history of Fort Clark was filled with clashes with the Apache, occasionally with the Comanche, and always with the bandit gangs that crossed freely back and forth across the Border, preying on the homesteaders. The Tye Wakins Series of books attempt to portray this danger. The stories center on Tye, who is Chief of Scouts at Clark in 1868. He is continually putting himself at risk trying to protect the homesteaders living in the area as well as keeping the troops he scouts for out of harms way.

Adam Carter, one of the men Tye is after, worked for the rancher, and was coerced into the robbery by his so called "friends." Along the trails certain events occur that have Tye thinking that Adam isn't the coldhearted killer he originally made him out to be.

Yahzie Apache Warrior is the 8th installment of the Tye Watkins series. It follows Tye as he tracks down Yahzie, an accomplished Apache warrior, who had killed several people, including four of the six white men who had entered his camp and killed his wife, son, mother and father.

This is the ninth book in the Tye Watkins series. This time Tye has taken on a new role, as a deputy U.S. Marshall. It follows his quest to hunt down Bloody Jack, a ruthless murderer and thief.
