About this series
Picking up where the Guns of Powder River left off, Britt and Doc are now in California and on their way to visit Britt’s father, retired U.S. Marshall Dan Mac Masters. But in the nearby mountains, two wily prospectors with gold fever get into trouble when the infamous outlaw Angel Garret and his gang of thieves attempt to steal the gold.
This epic western features the performances of Rex Trailer, New England’s favorite cowboy, and his banjo-strumming sidekick, Sgt. Billy, who were famous for the weekend children’s show Boomtown, which aired on WBZ-TV in Boston, Massachusetts from 1956 to 1974.

In Season Two of POWDER RIVER, Britt MacMasters has once again put on the badge of United States Marshal and returns to Clearmont, Wyoming after several months away on the trail with his son Chad. There he finds a new Sheriff in town who doesn't like the idea of a U.S. Marshal living in his jurisdiction but soon calls on the famed Marshal for help when the Sioux attack a stagecoach. A season highlight is a three-part episode where General George Custer recruits Chad to scout for him as he heads toward the Little Big Horn, causing Britt to follow in pursuit. In Season Six of Powder River, Etta and Jacob discover a 10-year-old boy, Levi Curtis, chopping wood at their home, acting as if he lived there. Britt soon discovers he is the sole survivor of an Indian attack on the Conestoga wagon he's traveling in with his family. Britt realizes Levi has no relatives and prepares to take him to the orphanage in Sheridan. When the telephone line arrives in Clearmont, Millie hires Etta to work the switchboard. Etta soon begins hearing things she shouldn’t: other people’s conversations. Jerry Robbins
Jerry Robbins, co-founder of the Colonial Radio Theatre on the Air has written and produced over 350 radio plays, including Ticonderoga, Captain Blood, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Gettysburg, Treasure Island, Yankee Clipper, Powder River, and Little Big Horn. In 2006 he started a collaboration with legendary author Ray Bradbury, producing Dandelion Wine, followed by Something Wicked This Way Comes, and wrote the script for, and produced The Halloween Tree; all award winning productions that garnered high praise from the master himself. He is currently working on a fourth collaboration with Mr. Bradbury, a radio dramatization of The Martian Chronicles.
