The guitar/lap-steel/drums trio were among the first to show the wider world that 21st-century Nashvillegrown country could rock – having first wowed UK crowds in 2013. So much so, in fact, that much of their catalogue nods at least as much to Metallica and Aerosmith as it does to the likes of Skynyrd and Waylon Jennings (plus a healthy dose of Tom Petty, of whom they’re all massive fans). Today they’re still pioneers of the non-purist countrified wave, and their show is still one of the most riotously enjoyable ones out there. Oh yes, and there’s a new album due this year…
