In the tradition of True Grit, Charley Sunday's Texas Outfit is a spirited tribute to a vanishing way of life--and to a courageous and honorable breed of men who helped to define the character of the American West. In the waning days of the Wild West, Texas rancher Charles Abner Sunday wants to leave a legacy of the Old West to his grandson, Henry-Ellis. Sunday buys 300 head of Texas longhorn cattle and leads his grandson--along with a ragtag crew of cronies and misfits--on an old-fashioned cross-country cattle drive. As the drovers struggle to push their 300 charges across a swiftly changing American frontier, they butt heads with a Colorado meatpacker hell-bent on living in the wild, wild past. Driven to possess Charley Sunday's cattle by any means necessary, the aging but still tough-as-leather Texas outfit must go to war one last time. In the course of their journey, a young boy will learn what it means to be a man, and some old men will remember what it means to be truly alive.

"Take them to Texas, gentlemen!" In a day and age where reliance on cellphones, computers, cable and fast food is essential, how many people actually have the chance to step back in time to experience a bit of our Western heritage? Charley Sunday's Texas Outfit!, a lighthearted, present-day yarn for the entire family, offers a unique glimpse into our Western history. Charley Sunday, a sensible, sober-minded Texas grandfather, imparts the American Cowboy legacy to his only grandchild as he and several of his grizzled cronies concoct a 1,000-mile longhorn cattle drive across 21st Century America . Four leathery cowboys, one insightful Indian, two strong-willed women, a two-gun oddball, a dog, and a little boy make an unlikely team as they trek from Colorado to Texas, continually running up against the forces of corruption. Finding salvation from the most unlikely sources, this rip-roarin' tale of faith versus greed will touch your heart, and take you back to a time where the lines between right and wrong were defined by bravery and honor.

Because his grandson has escaped, Charley and his loyal band of misfits know who they are hunting for--but they don't know why the family was targeted, or what living nightmare lies ahead: from Indian raiders to Mexican bandits and nature's own fury. By the time Charley finds his family in the most brutally lawless part of Mexico there will only be one way out: through a hail fire of bullets and a mad, galloping bloody battle for survival.
