- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The 1st volume of this Dune prequel starts off on the right foot. This story gives you an idea of where famous characters from the first Dune novel are in their lives and how they get to the point fans are use to by the time we reach Paul’s story in the first book. It alternates character POVs quite a bit, but if you’re read the original Dune books, you’ll be use to this by now. Dune fans should check this out.
