As a man of logic and reason, I always saw Sherlock Holmes as sort of a madman. He, too, operates with the process of logical thinking and reasoning, and yet his methods of doing so far differ from my own.

The process of deduction is one that eludes many people. You must first eliminate all possibilities that seem the least likely explanation, and whatever remains after the fact, no matter how improbable it may be, must be the right choice. This is not the way that many people would think. This is certainly not the way I used to think until the day I met the Great Detective Sherlock Holmes. That day changed my life, and it changed the way I see the world.

I am Dr. John Watson, and the book you see before you is a short collection of some of the many fantastical and unimaginable cases solved by the one and only Sherlock Holmes. Although Sherlock and I didn't always see eye to eye, and he often left me confused and puzzled, I will always think back on the times I worked alongside him as the best of my life.

Sherlock Holmes believes in free thinking and challenging yourself. He always told me that your brain needs exercise, and what better way to do that than to solve such difficult and challenging cases as the ones you see before you. I wish you all good luck.

Sherlock Holmes Is Back With More Riddles! --------------------------------------------------------------- Holmes and I (Dr John Watson) were called to Scotland Yard to help investigate a double murder on a train. The train station managers were getting irritated because they weren't allowed to let any trains leave until we got this murder solved. The driver of the train was in the engine compartment while the conductor was at the caboose. The officer on board thought they had been shot at the same time since he had heard the shots go off at the same time. Holmes boarded the train and walked the entire length of it. He stopped in the very center of the train. "Watson, how fast was the train traveling?" "According to my notes, the train was traveling at 150 kilometers per hour." "Those men were not killed at the same time." How did Holmes know this? --------------------------------------------------------------- Staged in the Victorian era, Holmes and Watson is back for more murder crimes by the evil nemesis professor Moriarty. Packed with more than 20 challenging riddles, this book is bound to give you hours of entertainment with your spouse, kids and family. They are all set in the world of Sherlock Holmes and shared by his trusty friend, Dr. John Watson. There are riddles in this book for the beginner and advanced sleuths alike. Solve this.   The room was empty except for the woman's dead body hanging from the high ceiling. I remember that case very well. It was a strange case and a very difficult one for Sherlock and I to solve.   The police were convinced it was a murder, but all the evidence stated otherwise. Sherlock and I examined the crime scene together. The doors and windows were closed and locked from the inside. The police had to break the door down to enter. The room was completely empty. There was nothing for the woman to climb on and she had been hung by the neck from the very tall ceiling.   I examined her body. Her neck was bruised and broken so it must have been the hang from the rope that killed her. However, the woman was so short that she couldn't have climbed up to the ceiling, tied the rope to the fan, and hung herself without standing on top of something.   As mentioned before, the room was empty so there was nothing for the woman to climb onto. This is what convinced the police it was a murder. After examining the crime scene, he found a dark damp spot on the floor beneath the women. Sherlock insisted it was a suicide.   How does he know?   Have you ever fancied yourself an amateur detective?   Well, then come and work alongside one of the best detectives in the world, Sherlock Holmes. Through all my years working by his side I have never seen anyone who could make him second guess himself. That was until the day we met Professor James Moriarty.   So, when you read these cases keep this in mind; Moriarty was a madman and a crime lord. He was the only one we came up against who could match Sherlock Holmes' intelligence. He was cunning, heartless, coldblooded, and deadly.   I am Dr. John Watson, and I have put together some of the most disturbing cases in which we went toe-to-toe with the menace that would become Sherlock's archenemy. These are the crimes of Professor James Moriarty."   * You do not need to read the previous books to enjoy book #5.   Join Dr John Watson And Start Solving Cases By Clicking the "Buy Now" Button at the Top of the Page.
