She has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, motor vehicle manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a collision in connection with O’Keefe’s death. When opening statements got underway Monday at 10 a.m., the defense and prosecution each side was given 45 minutes to present their cases, according to Cannone.
