Most of us began using Pinterest as a way to plan meals, decorate our homes, save future projects, plan birthday parties... the list goes on. If you have an account from the early days, it might be quite eye-opening to see what you were into back in the day.  :) Just as with every marketing platform, savvy marketers figured out ways to play the system. Over the last few years, Pinterest started to feel a bit spammy. One reason for this is many marketers were using "looping" to re-pin pins to drive website traffic for lead captures and "make" pins go viral. Even though this was profitable for these marketers, it wasn't as fun to be on the user end.  So Pinterest switched up their algorithm again and now we can use it to market our family photography businesses because what Pinterest wants (original, creative + inspiring content) is exactly what we create!
