Description
In our conversation today, we talk about
meditation, and issues that can arise when we separate ourselves from our experience, which I would say is a mistake one can make in meditation; however it is important to define one's terms carefully. In this context that would include terms such as consciousness, awareness and 'the witness'.
Ketamine and Pierre's work with Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
The definition of addiction
Trauma and the importance of working with the body - how being in touch with our somatic embodied experience is important and how rediscovering the truths held in our body and experiencing them with a skilled therapist can begin to heal the continuing effects of traumatic experiencesHow using Ketamine skillfully can assist this process, in part through deeper levels of embodied relaxation
The difference between therapy that uses strong psychedelic doses and Psycholytic therapy
Psychedelic therapy is when you take a large amount of a psychedelic to hav a full blown experience. This can be very revelatory but it can also be over whelming.
Psycholytic Therapy on the other hand utilizes a smaller amount of a psychedelic substance, so that one is able to stay in connection and communication with the therapist and process what comes up for you.
And I have a new favorite quote that came from todays conversation:
‘We must always be willing to do the next most necessary thing’ Carl Jung
Pierre is a Licensed Professional Counselor doing Somatic Psychedelic Psychotherapy with Ketamine.
