The Dallas Stars and Pete DeBoer have been deploying a rotational fourth line as of late with Radek Faksa, Craig Smith, Sam Steel and Ty Dellandrea. In years past, the fourth line has been very consistent, but is it time that some guys must earn their way into the lineup. Joey believes it may be time to give the trio of Steel, Dellandrea and Smith some time to fester, it's been a small sample size, but that line ranks best in terms of goals percentage and goals against per 60. It's no secret that DeBoer wants more offense out of his depth and maybe he's found it. That conversation leads into a preview of the Vancouver Canucks. The first meeting was a 2-0 shutout in favor of the Canucks in a game that was dominated by Thatcher Demko. The Canucks lead the league in goals scored at 5 on 5 and have multiple players having phenomenal years. Stopping Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser is no easy task, but must be accomplished to take them down. Also, Joey gives his Shooting Star pick fro tonight's contest. Finally, Diamond Sports Group, who owns Bally's came to an agreement with the NHL to allow Bally to broadcast all Dallas Stars games for the rest of the season uninterrupted.
