With the Dallas Stars having a few days off, on today's episode of Locked On Stars Joey gives three names the Stars should look at as potential trade targets. Of course, a lot of is dependent on cap space and what the Stars can provide, is Ty Dellandrea, Nils Lundkvist or Jani Hakanpaa expendable? The three names are three defensemen, Sean Walker from Philadelphia, Chris Tanev from Calgary who has recently suffered and injury and finally Brett Pesce from Carolina. These three players have multiple things in common, number one they are right shot defensemen which the Stars desperately and number two play a more defensive style of game which could really help add some depth to the Stars D core that is very thin. Then Joey provides an update about the Texas Stars who are currently in first place in the Central Division and holster the two leading scorers in the league with Logan Stankoven and Mavrik Bourque. Who knows, with the potential of the Stars having to make some moves in order to be a real contender, maybe Stankoven and Bourque will get some time in the NHL down the stretch. Finally, Jamie Benn recorded his 500th career assist on Miro Heiskanen's power play goal on Monday as he continues to climb franchise leaderboards. Joey reflects on his time with the Stars and how much of an impact he has had besides questions about his contract.
