The Dallas Stars got thumped by the Dallas Stars over the weekend and Jake Oettinger struggled once again raising concerns about his play and even some Stars fans jumping ship on him. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey wants to ease the concerns of Stars fans everywhere. He explains why you should continue to have faith in Oettinger and his ability to play at the level we have seen before based on the large part of work he's turned in. Certain trends of being scored on first and giving up 4 or more goals in six of their last games will more than likely not continue even with a defense that has been less than desirable lately. Dallas needs a spark, Joe Pavelski, Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz need to provide it. Yes, they lead the Stars in scoring this season, but they are not as dominate as we've have seen in seasons past. Without imminent help coming from the AHL or via trade, they must look inward. To wrap up the show, Joey previews Patrick Kane and the Detroit Red Wings who are in town and will likely be without their captain Dylan Larkin.
