Coming into the 2nd game of the Champions Classic, the narrative was that Kentucky would struggle due to their three seven-footers sitting on the bench while Kansas rolled out Hunter Dickinson. And, after a 9-0 start for Bill Self’s Jayhawks, that appeared to be true. But Kentucky roared back and made a game of it behind a strong first half from freshman Rob Dillingham. In the end, Dickinson’s 27-point, 21-rebound performance, plus Kevin McCullar’s triple-double, and DaJuan Harris’ career-high 23 points were just too much.
