Bronny James made his season debut for the USC Trojans on Sunday, but they took another loss this time to Long Beach State. UCLA also took a loss, this one to Villanova, although otherwise it was a great weekend for Pac-12 college basketball: with Utah defeating in-state rival BYU, Washington defeating in-state rival Gonzaga, and both Arizona and Colorado smashing AP ranked opponents in Wisconsin and Miami, respectively.
BYU's loss was their first of the year, one of three Big 12 schools who suffered their first loss over the weekend, including Cincinnati and TCU to Xavier and Clemson, respectively.
