Description

Many people fear they might get sued because of what they want to write about in their book. This is mostly the case for memoirs, biographies, and stories based on real-life events. The reality is that writing and publishing are two different things. If you want to write to make sense of events that happened to you (and which involve bad deeds committed by other people), that’s one thing. If you want to publish that book, that’s another thing altogether. What you need to remember is that when you publish a book, it’s not about you—it’s about your audience. So you don’t have to be accurate, you don’t have to reflect reality one hundred percent, and you don’t have to name people or say everything. You should focus on what is useful for your audience.Join The Word Leader Facebook Community to learn more about writing, connect with like-minded fellows, and get support in your writing journey.
