If you’re trying to write a book, or if you’re just getting started writing, it might be painful. You might feel mentally sore after doing it. It’s normal. Writing is always hard in the beginning—it’s like working out. Recently I started a new home full-body workout. The first few times I completed it, my body was obliterated. I barely could move the days after. But I forced myself to do it over and over again. And now I’ve been doing it every day and the pain diminishes every time. The same is true of writing.
