Description

How long should your book be? That’s a tricky question, but there’s an answer to it. If you’re just trying to get a short message out, 5,000 to 15,000 words will do it. However, such a book won’t be taken very seriously by avid readers. 30,000 words are the baseline for a serious book, and 50,000 words is a reasonable amount. 60,000 words and over are the norm for serious nonfiction books by reputable authors. You shouldn’t worry too much about your word count as much as you should worry about adding value through your book. Unlike in high school, you won’t be penalized as long as you’re aligned with your audience. Join The Word Leader Facebook Community to learn more about writing, connect with like-minded fellows, and get support in your writing journey.
