Description

This evening (4/5/22), in our tefilah shiur, we were going to continue our analysis of Avos 2:13. However, I recently stumbled upon an eye-opening explanation from the Aruch ha'Shulchan for the (dearly beloved) practice of not saying tachanun for the entirety of Nisan, and I felt like I HAD to give shiur on it. I then realized that since "tachanunim" is one of the subjects of our mishnah, perhaps we could accomplish both objections in one shot. Did we succeed? You tell me!----------מקורות:מסכת סופרים כא:א-גטור אורח חיים תכט:בשוחן ערוך שםבאר היטב שםמשנה ברורה שםערוך השולחן אורח חיים תכט:א-גאבות פרק ב משנה יגרש"י - דברים ג:כגרבינו יונה - אבות ב:יגיואל ב:יא-יז ----------This week's Torah content has been sponsored by Ann, who (against my will) asked that it be sponsored in honor of me. My name is Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss, and this is the hub for all of my shiurim (classes) on Tefilah (Prayer) and related topics, such as Tehilim (Psalms) and Berachos (Blessings)! The shiurim I upload here are given in a variety of formats with different lengths and intended for different audiences. The common theme which unites all of these shiurim is our focus on strengthening our relationship with Hashem through Avodah she'ba'Lev (Service of the Heart).
