We have reached the end of what we can all probably agree has been the oddest year on record! We want to acknowledge the difficulties and also celebrate the many accomplishments that have been realized over the past 15 months. Recently, we’ve been interviewing some students and staff members about what they’ve learned throughout the pandemic and what they look forward to next school year. Common themes were mental health concerns, the importance of relationships and leaning on one another, flexibility, resilience, and discovering (or being reminded of) just how strong they really are.
We will be ramping up our efforts to ensure students, staff, and families have the mental health resources they need to be successful, and that students are supported in their academics to ensure they can make as smooth a transition as possible back to full-time in-person learning over the course of the summer, in the fall and beyond.
