Description

Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 08 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this cloudy  Saturday morning 08 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on the  180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. And the Women’s Rugby World Cup starts today in front of a sold out Eden Park with South Africa vs France at 2:15pm followed by Fiji vs England at 4:45pm and Australia vs New Zealand at 7:15pm. Tomorrow in Whangārei the USA vs Italy at 12:45pm followed by Japan vs Canada and Wales vs Scotland. In rugby league – having  missed out on Cameron Munster, Harry Grant, Jahrome Hughes, Reece Walsh  and Kalyn Ponga among other big names, and still with eight spots left  in their top 30 roster for 2023, Wayne Bennett has conceded the Dolphins  will be without a big-name player for the 2023 season. So  Latrell Mitchell has to be the Dolphin’s top target come 01 November  2023 when the Souths superstar becomes a free agent. Eels star Mitchell  Moses also hits the market in November and he would be another person of  interest for Wayne Bennett. In football – Spain and Portugal are adding Ukraine to their joint bid for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Ukraine, which was infamously invaded by Russia in February, would likely host one group in the competition, promoting the idea that soccer can “rebuild hope and peace,” according to a report in The Times. In Formular 1 racing – reports have surfaced that Red Bull and Aston Martin, owned by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll, have exceeded the US$145Million F1 car constructers cost cap by as much as US$10M each in 2021, which both teams firmly deny. I have never liked Stroll – liar, liar pants on fire! In boxing – TMZ  has released a video of Draymond Green knocking down teammate Jordan  Poole with one punch during a Warriors practice a couple of days ago.  Quick as a flash, Jake Paul tweeted out  an offer of US$10Million to Green to step in the boxing ring against any  opponent of his choice on Paul’s next pay-per-view. Geez Dray – pick on someone your own size - like Steph.
