So the Origin star will spend three weeks on the sidelines to start the 2023 season. In boxing – amateur boxing's world governing body, the International Boxing Association has lifted its ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes. Boxers from the two nations were banned from competition in March following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The  International Boxing Association's new President is Russian Umar  Kremlev and it counts Russian state-backed energy giant Gazprom among  its main sponsors. Wait  for it – even worse, on Friday, the IBA suspended the Ukrainian Boxing  Federation after it had written to IBA members calling for Kremlev to  resign or be voted out of office. The International Olympic Committee says it is "extremely concerned". Oh dear!
