Description

Little One
I hold my bump,
I read a prayer,
I feel it more, It’s definitely there.
I go to the doctors, Nervous,
Holding my partners hand, This little lump wasn’t planned.
I wonder what to name it.
The doc’s got some ideas.
We discuss how it’s going to change my life! He mutters ‘it’s all downhill from here’.

My partners crying,
But this lump has touched my heart. I just have to keep it,
Or they would tear me apart.
9 months later,
I’m in my bedsit gown, Partner by my side, Saying goodbye,
And cursing the lump inside.
