Description
Time to clean the sheets
We’ve been together for many years,
We take turns to clean and cook,
Wipe the knobs,
Sweep the soot.
But the one thing that always stays clean,
Is the sheets.
They always look pristine,
Maybe a crinkle and the seams.
They haven’t been washed since 2017,
The one thing I wouldn’t mind to clean.
To make something clean,
You must first make them dirty,
But I haven’t heard that word,
Since I was in my 30’s.
One day I’d like us to make the bed,
With warm sheets and some pillows for my head,
We can make it a regular thing,
To make it clean,
But first we have to get in bed.
We’ve been together for many years,
We take turns to clean and cook,
Wipe the knobs,
Sweep the soot.
But the one thing that always stays clean,
Is the sheets.
They always look pristine,
Maybe a crinkle and the seams.
They haven’t been washed since 2017,
The one thing I wouldn’t mind to clean.
To make something clean,
You must first make them dirty,
But I haven’t heard that word,
Since I was in my 30’s.
One day I’d like us to make the bed,
With warm sheets and some pillows for my head,
We can make it a regular thing,
To make it clean,
But first we have to get in bed.
