Description

You're going to enjoy this!Ian is passionate about helping people enjoy their chosen sport and achieve their goals; and pain/injury management is a key part of this. A keen runner himself (currently chasing a sub 19min 5k and a sub 90min half marathon) he also enjoys playing golf and being kept busy by his two young sons. He understands how important it is to health and wellbeing to be able to stay active and exercise regularly, whatever your level of ability or participation.Ian followed his first degree in Podiatric Medicine with a postgraduate certificate in Sports Podiatry, and then a Masters degree in Sports Injury. He was subsequently awarded Fellowships in Podiatric Medicine by both the Royal College of Podiatry and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow. He continues to publish research and also act as a peer reviewer for several sports injury and physical therapy journals. Ian has spoken at conferences worldwide on the topics of lower limb biomechanics and foot orthoses, and is also a lecturer in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, leading the biomechanics module on the MSc degree. He is also an adjunct lecturer on the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.Ian has provided sports podiatry services to the PGA European Tour, RFU England Rugby 7’s squads, Surrey County Cricket Club, Great Britain Men’s Hockey team, AFC Bournemouth and Arsenal Women FC.
