Americans' confidence in the military is at its lowest level in over two decades. 
Military recruitment has been suffering as well, with the Army, Air Force, and Navy each expecting to fall short of their recruitment goals this year.
These troubling trends come at a time of growing tensions with China grow, as well as increased instability in multiple regions around the world.
