Description

Former President Donald Trump was indicted by a federal grand jury for his role in the January 6th riot at the Capitol and efforts to overturn the 2020 election. This is the third criminal indictment the former President is facing, being charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of & attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights. Law Professor at the University of California at Berkeley and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General, John Yoo, joins the Rundown to explain why this most recent indictment is “by far the most important” in regards to public interest, how difficult it will be for each of the cases against him to be proven in court, and how the former President’s upcoming trials will undoubtedly interfere with the 2024 presidential election.
Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor tax evasion charges last week. Biden’s former business associate, Devon Archer, told oversight committee members that Hunter would routinely introduce his father to foreign business partners and prospective investors. As the case progresses, three GOP chairmen, including House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH), Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY), and Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith (R-O), have sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding documents and information regarding circumstances related to Hunter Biden’s plea deal with the Justice Department. Congressman Jordan (R-OH) joins the Rundown to discuss why he thinks the DOJ continues to change its story, how he would move forward in impeaching President Biden, and break down the ways the Biden administration has tried to censor the American people.
Plus, commentary from Competitive Enterprise Institute senior fellow specializing in environmental policy, Ben Lieberman.
