Over 2.4 million migrants entered the United States last fiscal year, and the numbers continue to rise. U.S. Customs and Border Protection estimates there were more than one thousand 'known gotaways' each day last month, adding to the already heavy burden border communities now face. Over three dozen U.S. lawmakers have announced they won’t be seeking reelection, with thirteen of them announcing that just in the month of November. Reports have theorized that this exodus of representatives and lawmakers is due to dysfunction and division in Washington.
