Steve talks about transfer pitcher Braden Montgomery headingh to Texas A&M instead of Mississippi State and believs that the Luke Holman news was harder to hear than this transfer. Steve talks about the talent at Mississippi State that people forget about, such as Bradley Loftin, and believes that the team isn't completely lost without landing one or both of the two big transfers this summer. Bo and Steve switch over to football and talk about the status of the secondary with new faces at defensive back for the Bulldogs. Steve says that although the unit is fairly newer, the team is probably right where they want to be at this point in fall. Steve talks about MSU having practices in the farm field like they used to and he believes it helps build toughness and a closer bond between players. Steve tells Bo that he thinks MSU will run the ball about 50% of the time, a huge jump from last season.College Football insider Ross Dellenger joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about where the SEC will go next with realignment, TV Network battles for schools, and Notre Dames future live in the BankPlus Studio. Ross talks about who is at fault for the implosion of the PAC 12 and he also pins it on west coast residents having a smaller interest in football. BO and Ross break down how the Longhorn Network helped ESPN keep Texas and helped navigate the eventual move to the SEC. Bo asks Ross if he believes the SEC will throw down for North Carolina and Ross talks about the deals that are in place in order for the ACC to make sure they don't go anywhere. Ross talks about how states that don't have SEC schools are more attractive in terms of addition than schools like FSU and Clemson. Ross mentions that the battle for new schools would mainly be between ESPN and Fox rather than the SEC and the Big 10. The guys break down North Carolina and how the athletics, as well as the campus, fit the SEC but the academics fit the Big 10. Bo asks Ross if he believes the Big 10 jumped the gun when adding teams and Ross believes that the recent news has shown who runs the show in this era. Ross thinks that the fall of the PAC 12 is a bad sign for collegiate sports. Bo asks Ross on the future for Notre Dame and Ross says that the Fighting Irish is close to a deal with NBC. Ross thinks that Notre Dame will not make a move for a while and tells a story that illustrates the pride the school has in staying independent. Bo asks Ross about Miami and he said he could see Miami making a move to the Big 10 that would benefit the school. Bo and Ross look at Stanford and Cal and talk about how the schools have offered to reduce the money they make and they still weren't let into the Big 10.
