Description

Bo and the crew talk about the history of Mississippi State and Ole Miss playing Southern Miss, how coaches act at press conferences and the Trey Lance trade to Dallas in the second hour of the show live in the BankPlus Studio. The guys talk about the great beer Key City brewery is bringing to the Mississippi Braves stadium and Jason talks about his favorite beers with Bo. Bo and the crew talk about the difference between how Zach Arnett and Lane Kiffin handle press conferences and the changes that are being made to Mississippi State branding. The guys talk about the pros and cons of neutral games and how the North Carolina vs South Carolina game will be held in Charlotte. This gets Bo and the crew talking about how Ole Miss and Mississippi State used to play Southern Miss every year and the history behind the matchups for both schools. New Orleans Saints and LSU insider Mike Detillier joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about the biggest notes going into the LSU and FSU game, the likely starting kicker for the Saints and the Trey Lance trade live in the BankPlus Studio. Mike talks about the LSU and FSU game and believes that the biggest factor will be how the secondary's of each team respond to the talent of the two big QB's. Mike believes that Jayden Daniels for LSU is more dynamic than Jordan Travis at FSU but Travis is more consistent through the air. Mike believes that LSU has the talent to be hard to beat this season with the depth at running back but says the biggest weaknesses are at cornerback. Mike thinks a big factor will be how the LSU corners hold the Florida State receivers. Bo asks Mike if he got a chance to watch the Notre Dame game over the weekend and Mike says that he didn't see any big play ability from the Fighting Irish. Bo and Mike start talking about the kicking game with the New Orleans Saints and Mike talks about the consistency of Will Lutz throughout the summer and fall. Mike talks about kicking being mainly 95% mental and 5% physical and believes, for this reason, that Will Lutz will get the nod as starter. Bo asks Mike about the backup quarterback at LSU Garret Nussmeier and asks if he can confirm the hype that says he might be better than Jayden Daniels. Mike says that whoever told Bo this information was completely wrong but thinks that Nussmeier is fearless with a completely different play style. Mike starts talking about the 49ers trading Trey Lance to the Cowboys and what is behind the decision from Jerry Jones. Mike thinks that this was done to put more pressure on Dak to perform and sees Lance as the second option if Dak under-produces again this year.
