Bo and the crew talk about what to expect from MSU and Ole Miss freshmen in this weekends games, how Colorado will do against TCU and who could take down the Eagles in the NFC in the second hour of the show live in the BankPlus Studio. The guys talk about an HBO show from the 80's called "Inside the NFL" and all of the familiar faces that are now on the biggest stages of football. Bo and the crew talk about how they are excited to finally have games that will be competitive to the fourth quarter and have been anticipating the Florida vs Utah game. Bo and the crew talk about Colorado playing TCU this weekend as huge underdogs and they start to wonder what Deion Sanders can do with the program in the Big 12. Ole Miss and Mississippi State acquired big freshman players since last season and the guys start talking about what is acceptable to expect from each young star. The guys talk about the history of Ole Miss having slightly better recruiting but the same results as MSU. Head of Football Product at Pro Football Focus Steve Palazzolo joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about who could knock off the Eagles in the NFC, expected Cowboys play style and the best trios in the NFC live in the BankPlus Studio. Steve talks about how he is a Florida fan and how the documentary series "Swamp Kings" was a huge fluff piece that didn't give much heavy information. Steve talks about the matchup for the Gators tonight against Utah and believes Florida has what it takes to take down the Utes in the first game of the season. Bo asks Steve who is in the best position to take down the Eagles in the NFC and Steve gives the Cowboys and 49ers as the 1 and 2 possibilities to knock off the reigning NFC champs. Steve talks about Kyle Shanahan's ability to coach up quarterbacks and notes the progress he made with Brock Purdy. Bo and Steve talk about the media craze surrounding the Trey Lance trade and Steve talks about how the only reason it is such a big deal is because it is the Cowboys. Steve talks about the changes the Cowboys have made with analytics with a new hire from the Colts and how they break down the game behind the scenes, Bo tells Steve about Dave Bartoo's rankings of Mike McCarthy ranking as the 11th ranked offensive mind in the NFL and Steve believes it relies heavily on quarterback play. Steve thinks the number is possible but also notes that the latest things we've seen from Mike McCarthy was a collapse at Green Bay and underwhelming productions at Dallas. Bo asks Steve what kind of pass to run ratio to expect from the Cowboys and Steve talks about a trend taking over the best teams in the league. Steve says that the most successful teams last season threw the ball on average of 60% to 65% of the game and that a seven yard pass has become more popular. Steve talks about the trio the Eagles have at wide receivers and tight ends and how it measures up to the other teams in the NFC. Steve looks at AJ Brown's numbers and history with other quarterbacks and talks about how he pads the stats of any QB he has played with. Steve gives his ranking of trios with San Francisco at #1, Eagles at #2 and then a mix of teams battling after those spots. Bo asks Steve if Ceedee Lamb is a low end WR1 and Steve says that Lamb has cemented his role as a true #1.
