The Tampa Bay Rays won the first game of a three game series against the New York Yankees 5-1. Tyler Glasnow was impressive, going 7 innings strong allowing only one run (Jake Bauers solo shot) and making it the third outing in a row completing seven innings. The Rays provided the offense with four homeruns by Brandon Lowe, Wander Franco, Isaac Paredes and Josh Lowe, the latter which came back-to-back. However, the fun victory against the Bronx Bombers was not the biggest news. Aaron Civale, Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher, was traded in the afternoon to the Rays in exchange for (friend of the pod) Kyle Manzardo. How does this move make sense for the Rays? Will another move happen before Tuesday’s deadline?
