The New York Yankees lost a series to the St. Louis Cardinals this weekend. After a rainout on Friday night, the Yanks and Cards played a doubleheader that was a nightmare for Luis Severino who gave up nine runs (seven earned) in only four innings. The Yankees won the second game of the doubleheader thanks to the bullpen who pitched the entire game and the offense who scored six runs. Then on Sunday, the offense was held in check by former Yankee Jordan Montgomery and Gerrit Cole picked up his second loss of the season. But there was good news for him, he’s an All-Star! Then it’s Minors Monday and Steve’s got the skinny on Tyler Hardman, Will Warren and Oswald Peraza. Then we preview the big four-game series against the Orioles which begins on Monday night in the Bronx and we make our bold predictions for the series.
