Patrick Cootes (linkedin.com/in/patrick-cootes-87a513193) spent nearly twenty years in teaching before co-founding Mindstone (https://www.mindstone.com). As a teacher of philosophy and ethics, Patrick’s mission is to bring about eudaimonia, the flourishing of human potential, through learner-centered education. At its heart, learning is about making links, both between ideas and between people. Patrick co-founded Mindstone to put the learner at the centre of the learning process, grounding Mindstone in the real-world experiences of learners and educators. Outside the classroom, Patrick is a songwriter and musician (three albums recorded to date) writer (one science-fiction novel), and distance-runner (three marathons so far). These past-times reflect his creativity, precision, and tenacity, all of which are essential for helping people become better learners.
