Although I was raised in the church, most of my young life was lived in a mental hell and although the people in my church were trying to be helpful, all they had to offer was over-spiritualized solutions, which didn’t help much, if any. In this episode I’m joined with Justin Stumvoll, who has a similar experience to mine. He shares about the emotional hell he grew up in and how he found ways to cope and eventually began to heal. He and his wife, host a podcast called, “The Connect Life,” where they talk about the messy things of life.
