Rick later joined the Military and was selected to serve with the elite Australian Special Air Service Regiment (SAS).  Utilising many of the soft and hard skills that the Military equipped him with, as a self-defence instructor, advanced combat first aider and survival instructor, Rick has lead Kokoda treks in Papua New Guinea and taken fathers and sons into the jungles of Sumatra Indonesia.He recently returned from Central Australia where he  worked alongside Pitjantjatjara speaking “Anangu People” at the iconic Australian landmark Uluru, gaining much knowledge and respect from the desert mob.
