As we head into Championship Week, the three teams in line for the No. 1 overall seed either took a loss – Alabama & Kansas, or very nearly did – Houston. How do we sort through that mess? Who will be the No. 1 overall? Similarly, in the next tier, multiple teams are in line for the fourth and final No. 1 seed – UCLA, Texas, and Purdue. Which of those three teams is most likely to nab the final No. 1 seed?

The Big 12 continues to be a gauntlet out of which everyone will emerge tattered and tarnished. Four better ranked Big 12 teams (Kansas, TCU, Baylor, Kansas St) lost to either unranked or lesser-ranked opponents on Saturday. The question becomes: When these teams emerge from conference play, will they dominate NCAA Tournament opponents or will they be so taxed from Big 12 play that they fall apart?
