It’s championship week and time to preview the Power 6 Conference Tournaments. We start today with ACC, Big 12, & Big East. The ACC currently has just 3 locks: Miami, Duke, and Virginia. Can the historically most dominant conference in the nation punch more tickets? Will the AP Preseason No. 1 fail to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the modern era?
Moving to Kansas City, the Big 12 is the best conference in the country and 6 of its 10 teams are locks, with likely one more, and possibly two more teams set to make the field. Can West Virginia and Oklahoma State avoid an opening round letdown to become those 7th and 8th teams? Will anyone knock off Kansas?
The Big East tournament and Madison Square Garden are a match made in heaven. The conference has 5 locks and 6 teams out of at-large consideration. The only potential party crasher is Villanova. Will we have a surprise in the Big Apple?
